UNISON Open College is the flexible learning arm of UNISON, Britains biggest trade union. The College arose from UNISON's long-standing commitment to promote and encourage the personal and career development of its members, through the provision of learning opportunities appropriate to their needs.

The range of opportunities offered by the College ranges from basic skills through to degree and professional level qualifications. Fundamental to this provision is the idea of partnerships, and UNISON works with a wide variety of employers, governmental and other educational bodies as partners in this provision.

Courses are aimed primarily at the needs of members, but many of them can be studied with equal benefit by people beyond UNISON, and many non-members are enrolled with the College. A wide variety of courses is offered, including: Committee Administration, Community Care, Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards, Housing, Leisure Management and Police Support Staff Studies.
