The Publishing Training Centre is the recognised training organisation for the book and journal publishing industry.

An educational charity, it runs over 60 open courses, covering a broad range of subjects, and has trained staff from over 1,000 companies.    It is also responsible for developing the industry's occupational standards.

The Publishing Training Centre's programme of distance learning courses includes Basic Proofreading, Basic Editing and Effective Copywriting.    Each course has a very strong practical element, providing an excellent foundation upon which to build a career in publishing.
