Sailing School retains ODL QC accreditation
for distance learning |
![]() | |
At a meeting of the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council (ODL QC) yesterday, the International School of Navigation retained their Accredited Status. The School, which has been established since 1989, offers practical and theory courses to the RYA qualifications, plus courses in meteorology.
ODL QC has responsibility for promoting quality in all forms of open and distance learning. To achieve accreditation providers must undergo a thorough assessment of administrative and tutorial methods, educational materials, and publicity. Accredited providers are re-assessed at regular intervals to ensure that learners continue to receive a good service. |
Following the decision, The School was praised by Dr Morley of the ODL QC, who said,
“ISN is a small, specialist school operating in a competitive market. The course materials are excellent, and the learner support is of good quality. This is reflected in the high level of learner satisfaction we noted during our assessment.” Accredited providers are recognised by learners as flexible, friendly, and above all secure. - - - - Ends - - - - Further details from: Elspeth Harrison at ODL QC on Contact Steve Reeve on admin@harbourlights.nu
