Yesterday the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council awarded Accredited Status to Henley College Coventry for the fourth time. In 1988, it was the first public sector college in the UK to be accredited by ODL QC.
The College views accreditation by the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council as vitally important to the continued development of this specialist element of the College's expanding curriculum. Such quality assurance procedures ensure that standards are maintained and students continue to thrive in their studies.
Margaret Greenway, Flexible Learning Co-ordinator said she was delighted to hear the college had received re-accreditation for the fourth time. "To advertise Distance Learning courses under the ODL QC logo adds credibility to our provision," she added.
In recommending the award, ODL QC Chief Executive Dr Morley said,
"The Homestudy Unit gives Henley College an excellent, high quality resource from which it can build its provision and help to bring new people into learning."
