TutorShip sails through re-accreditation
TutorShip is the distance learning college of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, the professional body for those engaged in shipping.

The college was established in 1983, and was first accredited by the ODL QC in 1989, when all elements of the distance learning provision were evaluated. Providers must apply for re-accreditation every three years; yesterday TutorShip successfully completed its latest assessment, and so retains the award.

TutorShip’s continued accredited status is, “testament to their commitment to quality” according to ODL QC Chief Executive David Morley.

He explained that the partnership with the ODL QC works well because of the specialist knowledge of both organisations:

“The Institute are responsible for professional standards in Shipbroking. They ensure that the content of the TutorShip courses is accurate.

The ODL QC’s role is to verify that the courses are delivered in a way that helps distance learners get the most from their studies. And TutorShip learners do achieve very highly in their professional examinations.”
