The Safety Practice was yesterday admitted to New Provider Status by the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council (ODL QC).
The Practice is currently an accredited centre for NVQs in health and safety and Chartered Institute of Environmental Health courses. The modular open learning package will have each key point illustrated with original cartoons.
ODL QC works with new providers to help them establish a quality provision. Once they can show that they have reached its standards in distance learning, they can be accredited, use the Quality Mark to demonstrate their achievement, and reassure learners that training with them will be good experience. Accredited providers also benefit from the Council's strong links with bodies including learndirect, the British Council, the DfES, and the ILA office.
