Practically pioneering quality

First accredited by ODL QC in 1993, Open Learning Centre International (OLCI) has retained accreditation for a third consecutive cycle.

OLCI's porfolio of courses includes OLCI Practical Training, which offers plumbing and electrician training courses. Practical training is offered at specially equipped centres across the UK where constant tutor support is available.

The plumbing courses allow students to build up their skills with an opportunity to work towards a City and Guilds NVQ qualification.

ODL QC Chief Executive David Morley commented "The construction division of OLCI has pioneered the application of distance learning technology in support of practical training for the construction industries. We are delighted to acknowledge OLCI's quality in this area as well as in the provision as a whole."

Max Faulkner, Director of studies comments "OLCI and OLCI Practical Training has recently been re-assessed against the ODLQC quality standards and is delighted to have achieved its re-accreditation. This is particularly pleasing in view of OLCI's continued investment in its trainees and dedication in providing high quality home study programmes."
