Established in 1952, the International Institute of Reflexology (UK) is a professional organisation and educational institution dedicated to upholding the highest of standards in Reflexology.

The IIR was first granted ODL QC accreditation in 1998, and yesterday the Institute had the status renewed for the second time, following a scheduled re-assessment.

Practitioner Diploma courses are run in eight training centres throughout the UK by qualified and licensed Tutors, all full-time Practitioners, offering the Original Ingham Method® exclusively and keen to provide encouragement and on going support to learners.

The course, which is frequently reviewed, combines a detailed home study programme with face-to-face tuition to teach the practical skills of reflexology.

Vice-President Hildegard Edwards said:
“The ODL QC re-accreditation means a great deal to our team of Directors and Tutors. The generous feedback from learners and the thorough assessment process of our provision by the ODL QC encourages us to go from strength to strength.”

The ODL QC report attested to the Institute’s “high level of professionalism”, and commended the lead the IIR has taken to working with the new regulatory bodies in complementary therapy.
