Designing Quality in Ireland

The Interior Design Academy of Ireland (IDAI) builds on its quality foundations as it becomes an ODL QC accredited provider for open & distance learning.

Established in January 2005 the IDAI provides a correspondence course in Interior Design to all budding interior designers, or to existing designers who wish to brush up on their skills.

"The commitment of the Principal, and her staff, to offering a good service cannot be faulted." says Dr David Morley, ODL QC Chief Executive who also commented that "the strength of the provision, in my view, is that it recaptures an older and, in many ways, more successful mode of teaching as a kind of apprenticeship."

The diploma course produced by Orna O'Reilly, a well-known face in the Interior Design industry in Ireland, covers background essentials to help begin a career in Interior Design.    Spread over 4 books learners look at practical aspects such as furniture and fabric design as well as the theory behind Interior Design.

In response to the accreditation Orna O'Reilly, Principal of IDAI commented "The Interior Design Academy of Ireland (IDAI) is delighted that we have become fully accredited by ODL QC.    This accreditation is a significant step in the development of the IDAI as high standards of quality required and maintained by ODL QC ensures the increased attractiveness of the Diploma in Interior Design to prospective students"
