- New Provider Status

Gender Advisory Bureau College has been given New Provider Status by ODL QC.

They are launching their Diploma in Trandgender Studies by distance learning with the intention to develop further courses in due course.

The Gender Advisory Bureau has been running since 2003 and provides diversity and equalities training to professionals from public and private services around the complex area of variant gender identity, namely transgender.

The topics covered include gender specific counselling and implications on service providers of relevant legislation such as the Gender Recognition Act 2004.

GABC estimate that the course would take an average of 30 hours to complete with support on hand 5 days a week from those at the bureau.

Under New Provider Status the provider is entering into the commitment of working with ODL QC to work towards full accreditation, usually within a 2-year period.
