Future School is the latest online learning provider to receive ODL QC accreditation.

Established in 1984, Future School has developed and provided affordable educational materials to thousands of homes, schools and colleges worldwide. In April 2006 they launched their new online broadband-based programmes in Europe.

Future School's linked online programmes are mapped specifically to align with each regional curriculum and represent the latest e-learning and Learning Management Systems. Each subject lesson includes an individual video-streamed tutorial enhanced with graphics and animation with pre-assessment and post-testing on each topic.

Designed as a complement to teaching received in the classroom the programmes are designed for children and students of all ages and skill levels.

In their report the assessors praised the "effective piece of educational software" offered by Future School which they characterised as "wholly approachable" whilst having "a sound pedagogy".

David King, Executive Chairman of Future School, was delighted to learn of the accreditation by ODL QC, and said "Future School has been a valuable educational tool for students worldwide since 1984. With the launch of the new online programmes, and the accreditation by ODL QC, Future School remains focused on delivering these affordable literacy and numeracy programmes to families throughout the UK."
