NARIC Services

Managed under contract to the DfEE, NARIC is a division of ECCTIS 2000 ( the UK’s primary source of information on 100,000 university and college courses), and is one of a wide network of NARIC’s and European Network of Information Centres (ENIC) throughout the European Union. On an average day NARIC will field in excess of 120 enquiries. Many of these queries are generated by individuals, to whom NARIC offers a free service. However the information resource which NARIC manages is also used to offer a diverse range of chargeable specialist services.

International Comparisons

Organisations or institutions who need for equivalency information for education, employment and professional registration purposes could find NARIC’s ‘International Comparisons’ package useful. Delivered either as a CD-ROM or via an internet subscription, ‘International Comparisons’ provides a searchable database which allows its user fast access to comparability between the UK and over 180 countries.

Global Qualifications Report Service

If ‘International Comparisons’ looks at a wide range of countries, NARIC’s ‘Global Qualifications Report Service’ focuses on one: the one you select. This is because NARIC offers organisations or institutions with specific needs a commissioning service. Using data collection processes from the NARIC/ENIC network and government ministries world-wide, the NARIC team will produce a report specifically tailored to the requirements of the commissioning body. Much time and money can be expended in attempting to get to the bottom of sometimes seemingly intractable educational equivalency issues. For the institution, organisation or individual wrestling with such problems, NARIC could provide the answer.
