Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is part of the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES), which is in turn, part of the world famous University of Cambridge.

UCLES have been delivering pre-matriculation international examinations for over 140 years.
In 1998 CIE was set up as a new arm of UCLES, dedicated to offering assessment tailored to the needs of international centres.
