The Rapid Results College has a long and distinguished record as a major provider of distance learning courses, from GCSEs and A-Levels to a wide variety of vocational and personal development courses.

A family firm, it was established by Andrew Young's grandfather, David Young in 1928. Andrew himself has been Principal of the College, and now Chairman of RRC Business Training, since 1985.

The College has been accredited by ODL QC since 1971, and Andrew has been a member of the Council since 1991.

Like many organisations in the late 1990s, The Rapid Results College has gone through a period of fundamental change. Today, the college trades entirely as RRC Business Training, and no longer accepts enrolments under the name of The Rapid Results College.

This has come about for many reasons. For us, the early 1990s saw:

  • a falling away in the number of overseas students;
  • increased competition, in both the public and private sectors, giving students greater choice;
  • increasing recognition of the benefits of more flexible approaches to learning by Government, the education sector and many corporate organisations.
This presented us with both threats and opportunities. We had to think carefully how to position ourselves for the future.

As a result, by Autumn 1995 we had decided to focus on business training: continuing to work with individual customers but also looking for more corporate customers, and offering them a wider variety of training solutions to meet their particular requirements.
