![]() ABOUT USElectrical Skills is part of an established group of training providers who have been offering training programmes since 1994. Specifically for people with very little or no prior electrical experience, our courses can take you from complete beginner to qualified domestic electrical installer. The qualifications are all recognised by the electrical industry and certified by bodies such as City & Guilds, Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and Bpec. Other bodies endorsing the qualifications include:- ECA—Electrical Contractors Association. NICEIC– National Inspection Council of Electrical Installation Contractors. ELECSA—Recognised competent persons scheme. Whilst your theory study is undertaken in the comfort of your own home you will need to travel to one of our custom fitted training venues for your practical modules. The workshop also houses the Global On-Line Assessment suite (GOLA) which allows candidates to sit City and Guild assessments via web-link. The main benefit of this is that examination results can be available within an hour.
Changes to Part P of the Building Regulations mean that a significant proportion of all electrical work carried out in dwellings in England and Wales now has to be notified to the local building control department. This means that there has never been a better time to become a qualified domestic electrical installer. |
