Founded in 1958, the Greenwich School of Theology offers a variety of theological courses by distance learning.

These courses range up to Doctoral level, and the School encourages applications from those who already have some form of theological qualification.

It is fundamental to the School's principles not to impose any form of doctrinal discrimination.    Students have come from all denominations and, although predominantly Christian, the School is open to all students.

Similarly, the approaches adopted by students in their research have ranged from gnosticism through more traditional approaches to liberation theology.

All the degree courses offered by Greenwich School of Theology are fully approved by North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus), South Africa; a government funded university and an active member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.    All degree submissions from the School are examined finally by the University, which also makes the degree awards at the biennial convocation held in London.
