Writing for the Periodical Press

There are hundreds of English language journals, published weekly or monthly, covering subjects as diverse as marriage, fishing, photography and catering, and many of them welcome news and features from contributors.

You can exploit this market by taking the course in Periodical Journalism. It covers the writing and collating of news and features; sub-editing; layout and media law. It provides a solid base for those wishing to take up a full-time career in periodical journalism.

It consists of 10 modules, all tutor-based. The NCTJ's preliminary exams in journalism and law may be taken after this course.
