Aromatherapy, perhaps the best known of all holistic therapies and reputed to be at least 6000 years old, is derived from ‘aroma’, meaning fragrance or smell and ‘therapy’, meaning treatment.    Kevala offer two courses in Aromatherapy, including the first “fully registerable” professional training course studied partly by distance learning.

Their Aromatherapy diploma course (with optional Aromatherapy & Allied Practitioners’ Association accreditation) was specially written by leading practitioner, industry guru and writer Carole Preen and in its entirety is accredited by the Aromatherapy & Allied Practitioners’ Association (AAPA), which graduates will be invited to join upon satisfactory completion of the programme.

The course has been benchmarked to the National Occupational Standards and complies with the Regulatory Body’s Core Curriculum, and students who do not wish to register with the voluntary Aromatherapy Register need only follow the home study element with case studies in order to practice as an Aromatherapist and obtain professional indemnity insurance.

Other Kevala courses that complement Aromatherapy include: · Aromatherapy for Massage Therapists (A Diploma in the Study of Essential Oils) · Massage as a Gift · Swedish Massage · Reflexology · Indian Head Massage · Holistic Stress Massage · Holistic Pain Relief Techniques · Introduction to Natural Product Making
