The Open & Distance Learning Quality Council have agreed to re-accredit Montessori Centre International.
The Centre was formed in 1998 as a joint venture of the London Montessori Centre and the Montessori St Nicholas Centre, two well-established Montessori Colleges with a tradition of correspondence courses dating back to 1952.
Both have been accredited by ODL QC for several years, and have international reputations, offering courses and learning programmes in 90 countries around the world.
In establishing the new centre, the distance learning provision of both colleges has been amalgamated, and wholly revised, with new course materials and other significant enhancements.
The ODL QC welcomed the formation of the new Centre: the report to the Council found the new provision to be excellent, with a very good range of materials which were clearly and attractively presented, and tutors with a supportive, encouraging and friendly approach.
