ODL QC again grant Accredited status to The Kevala Centre

14th September 2001

At their meeting yesterday, the Open And Distance Learning Quality Council (ODL QC), granted Accredited status to The IYS Kevala Centre.

ODL QC has responsibility for promoting quality in all forms of Open and Distance Learning.

Accreditation allows providers to demonstrate their high standards, and their learners have a promise of good training. Providers are accredited for a maximum of 3 years, to ensure that learners always receive a good service.

Peter White, Principal of the Centre, commented,
"The late Sandra White founded the International Yoga School/Kevala Centre to offer high quality training in holistic therapies to the widest range of students. The best way of providing this was by distance learning.

To measure and maintain the level of quality, Sandra applied for and was granted accreditation by the ODL QC. Sadly Sandra passed away last year, but this re-accreditation is a testimonial to her dedication and foresight. We are delighted to have been awarded re-accreditation and see it as fitting legacy to Sandra 's work."

In recommending re-accreditation, the ODL QC Chief Executive said,
"The Kevala Centre offers sound training with professionalism and integrity".
