At their meeting yesterday, the Open & Distance Learning Quality Council agreed to re-accredit the Horticultural Correspondence College (HCC).
Founded in the early 1930s, the College offers a friendly and efficient service to both enthusiastic amateur and committed professional, with horticultural and agricultural courses ranging from leisure gardening and garden landscape construction to professional floristry, sheep farming and tropical agriculture. Strong links are maintained with the Royal Horticultural Society, with courses supporting both the General Examination in Horticulture and the Master of Horticulture Award.
Oliver Menhinick, Principal of the HCC, welcomed the College's re-accreditation by ODL QC as an indicator of "credibility" which acts as "an external measure of reassurance for prospective and existing students".
