Guide to Assessment - I : Fees

Assessment

The Registration Fee is £100 (UK based providers) or £250 (Non-UK based providers).    Providers already having accreditation do not need to re-register.

Registration fees are non-refundable, but can be set against the Assessment Fee if a full submission is received by ODL QC within six months of registration.

The normal UK Assessment Fee is £600 for a re-assessment, and £1,200 for a previously non-accredited provider.    It can be more, depending on the complexity of the provision.    This covers visits within the UK, one Specialist Assessor if required, and the Reporting Assessor.    It can be reduced in special circumstances.    It will be more if:

  1. Travel outside the UK is required; this will be charged at cost;
  2. Questionnaires are circulated by post, at a fee of £150 per 200 UK addresses.
  3. More Assessors are used.    The fee depends on the amount of work involved:   the current rate for specialist assessments is £500 per assessor per day.

Additional Annual Fees are charged to all accredited providers and are based on a small percentage of their income from their open and distance learning provision.
