The Open and Distance Learning Quality Council (ODL QC) yesterday awarded Accredited Status to Advance Training, which offers computerised study programmes for Police Officers.
The Computerised Study Kit consists of multiple-choice questions with fully explained answers. It provides personal feedback on strengths and weaknesses to build confidence and target study, and is "self-updating" with monthly legal updates.
Commenting on the news, David Anson said,
"After providing our Computerised Study Kit for more than 5 years it is reassuring to have our commitment to providing a quality training product recognised and to be able to offer police officers an identifiable benchmark for quality.
We have found the ODL QC accreditation process to be very rigorous and have valued the discipline of being externally assessed."
ODL QC has responsibility for promoting quality in all forms of Open and Distance Learning. To achieve accreditation providers must undergo a thorough assessment of its administrative and tutorial methods, educational materials, and publicity. Advance Training has proved its provision is of high quality and can use the ODL QC Quality Mark as a promise of good training.
